Tage Haase, M.D., General Surgeon
Every day, the highly trained and compassionate staff at The Medical Center provides care, hope and comfort to cancer patients and their families throughout our region. As Chairman of The Medical Center’s Cancer Committee, I am honored to be part of such an extraordinary team. The various disciplines involved in cancer care are dedicated to constantly improving services for the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer.
The Medical Center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons. This accreditation is granted only to those facilities that are committed to the highest standard of care, and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. The Medical Center has maintained CoC accreditation for several years – proof of its commitment to continually improve the services we provide.
The Medical Center Health and Wellness Center offers a variety of prevention services, including prostate screenings and smoking cessation classes. Additionally, educational presentations, written materials and support groups are offered to help not only those recovering from the disease, but their families and caregivers as well.
The Medical Center provides the most comprehensive cancer program in our region. Whether it is community outreach through education and screenings, the latest technology for detection, or a multispecialty team to coordinate the best treatment options, The Medical Center fulfills its mission of caring for people and improving the quality of life in our communities.
