The Cancer Treatment Center for Southern Kentucky is the most renowned cancer treatment facility in Southcentral Kentucky. We are proud of our tradition of caring service. State-of-the-art equipment, comfortable surroundings, and complete patient and family services make us a leader in cancer care in this region. The department of Radiation Oncology at The Medical Center is fortunate to have highly skilled and caring nurses, therapists, dosimetrists, physicist and assistants to serve our patients and their families. Leading the treatment team is Richard A. McGahan, MD, a radiation oncologist who specializes in the management of difficult cancer problems. Dr. McGahan is a board-certified physician in radiation oncology, an acknowledged standard of excellence in patient care. Most often, referrals are made by the patient's own physician (usually surgeons or medical oncologists). However, the Cancer Treatment Center does accept self-referrals. This can be done by calling the general department phone number between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Monday through Friday). The number is (270) 781-7178 or 1-800-745-1213. We are located within The Medical Center, 250 Park Street (two blocks off the 31 W By-pass).
