Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Education and Development offers ACLS Provider courses (2-day course) for those that have never had ACLS or have let their ACLS lapse.
Renewal:
For those needing ACLS Renewal, we no longer offer ACLS Renewal in the classroom, but we offer the flexibility of ACLS Renewal via the computer with the use of American Heart Association’s “Heartcode ACLS” program.
The program is a two-step process.
- Purchase and complete the “Heartcode ACLS” program via computer
- Complete a face-to-face skills demonstration, Megacode
CHC is proud to provide the skills demonstration check-off for $50.
How to Purchase “Heartcode ACLS” and complete a skills demonstration
Log onto the internet to purchase the “Heartcode ACLS” computer CD/DVD and complete the course.
Log onto:
- www.AmericanHeart.org
- Type in “Heartcode ACLS” in the search box at the upper-left hand side of the screen.
- Click “Heartcode ACLS – Updated with the 2005 AHA Guidelines”
- This will take you to a new screen
- Click “Purchase Product”
- This will provide a list of places you can purchase the disk
Once you purchase the disk and complete the program:
- Print out the screen that shows your grade
- Print your certificate
- Call Education and Development at 270-796-2566 to arrange for a date and time to complete a skills demonstration, Megacode.
On the date of your Megacode, bring your grade sheet and certificate with you. We will not be able to complete your Megacode without these documents. The cost is $50.
After your Megacode is complete, we will make copies of all documents for your records. Your card will be mailed to you in 4 to 6 weeks.
