The Medical Center's Preadmission Testing is an essential component of a patient's visit to the hospital for surgery or a procedure. During preadmission testing, the patient comes in 1 to 2 weeks prior to their procedure to speak with a nurse. The nurse obtains the patient's history, answers any questions the patient might have and provides teaching to prepare the patient for the upcoming procedure. The patient will speak with a representative from the Anesthesia Department and any lab work or x-rays that are needed will be otained at this time.
