How to Begin

The Medical Center offers free consultations to help determine if cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is appropriate for you and your health needs. Our staff will discuss your medical condition, your goals and how the program can assist you.

Participation in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation requires a physician referral. We will assist you in obtaining a referral from your doctor. If you do not have a physician, we will assist you in finding one.

Once you are referred to the program, a team member will contact you to schedule an initial interview and orientation session. A plan of care will be developed to meet your specific needs through a joint effort between you and the healthcare professionals providing the treatment.

Patients are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for cardiac rehabilitation and Tuesdays and Thursdays for pulmonary rehabilitation. The program hours are from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The cost of the program varies and is based on individual needs. Many insurance companies, including Medicare, will pay for all or a portion of the costs associated with Phase 1 and Phase 2 cardiac or pulmonary rehabilitation. Phase 3 is a self-pay service with a modest charge.
