Following established guidelines of the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association, The Medical Center utilizes protocols for evidence-based care in the diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from stroke.
Reversing the effect of a stroke and reducing permanent disability can help patients with the best chance for recovery. The administration of drugs in the ER may help stop or reverse the effects of a stroke. Neurological Disorders
An array of neurodiagnostic technology is used to diagnose neurological disorders such as EEG and Video EEG for seizures and epilepsy and EMG for for peripheral neuropathy.
The Medical Center Sleep Center can diagnose and treat sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, insomnia, narcolepsy, and many other sleep-related problems with new, state-of-the-art equipment.
