Don W. Brown, D.O., FACOS
Director of Medical Education

Don W. Brown, DO, FACOS is board certified in Vascular Surgery. He earned his medical degree at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in General Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Foundation/South Pointe Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (FACOS).



Sam Hardcastle MD

Samuel F. Hardcastle, M.D.
Program Director - Internal Medicine

Samuel F. Hardcastle, M.D. is board certified in Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at the University of Kentucky and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Baptist Hospital. Dr. Hardcastle is a hospitalist with Inpatient Medicine Associates and practices at The Medical Center.




J. Grayson Grau, M.D.
Program Director - Psychiatry

J. Grayson Grau, M.D. is board certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He earned his medical degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital. Dr. Grau practices as a psychiatrist with the Medical Center Psychiatry physicians group.




Mohammed Kazimuddin, M.D.
Program Director – Cardiology

Mohammed Kazimuddin, M.D. is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. He earned his medical degree at the Gandhi Medical College in India. Dr. Kazimuddin completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center and completed his General Cardiology Fellowship at Albert Einstein University in New York. Dr. Kazimuddin’s Interventional Cardiology Fellowship training was completed at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York. Dr. Kazimuddin serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Western Kentucky Heart and Lung Associates.


Jake Barrick

Jake Barrick
Residency Program Coordinator

Jake Barrick earned both his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration and his Master of Business Administration degree from Western Kentucky University. Jake has been an employee of The Medical Center at Bowling Green since 2001, most recently as Residency Program Coordinator. He is a member of the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) and Kentucky Association Medical Staff Services (KAMSS). He served the KAMSS organization as a member of the Board of Directors from 2010 to 2014, State President in 2011, and Membership Committee Chair since 2014.
