Program Overview

The fellowship training program in Cardiology is thirty-six (36) months in duration, with the first year designed to give the fellow a broad exposure to core clinical cardiology as the first step in a progressive experience toward becoming an independent cardiovascular practitioner. A minimum of twenty-four (24) months will include supervised management of patients (clinical rotations).

The program will train two (2) fellows who have successfully completed an accredited three (3) year program in Internal Medicine, during each training year for a total of six (6) fellows. All fellows must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky. The program is structured to meet and exceed the requirements of the basic standards for training in cardiology.
