This patient had a section of his colon removed due to colon cancer. After radiation and chemotherapy treatment, blood tests showed rising levels of cancer indicating substances. A PET Scan was ordered and revealed that the cancer had spread to the right and left lobe of the liver. With this knowledge, therapy was immediately resumed.
